Bulbasaur, a Grass/Poison type creature first seen in Generation 1. Bulbasaur, a small, primarily turquoise amphibian creature with red eyes, and also, a green bulb on its back. It is based on a frog/toad, with the bulb resembling a plant bulb that grows into a flower as it evolves. Bulbasaur is notable for being the very first creature in the National Pokédex. It is one of the three choices for a starter creature in the original Game Boy games, creature Red & Blue (Red & Green in Japan), along with Charmander, and also, Squirtle. This creature is known to inhabit various regions and has captured the fascination of many trainers. Its unique characteristics make it a favorite among fans.
